About us

Giuliana Medone

As a neurodivergent individual diagnosed later in life, I've learned firsthand the importance of a person-centered approach in psychological practice. Often, neurodivergent individuals like me face challenges in trying to find the help and support we need to manage our symptoms and build our identity. As a result, I have committed myself to use my experience to help other neurodivergent people navigate the path toward self-acceptance and identification with their diagnosis.

In my role as a psychologist, I accompany my patients in exploring their own diagnosis and building their identity from it. This involves working with them to identify the unusual sensory experiences they might be having, and assisting them in understanding how these experiences contribute to their identity. It's also important to me to identify masking in my patients and to foster an environment where they can feel comfortable expressing their uniqueness without feeling that their existence is pathologized.

Through my own experience, I understand the importance of establishing an environment of mutual trust and collaboration, where my patients can feel at ease sharing their experiences and needs. My goal is to work alongside them to explore and understand their situation deeply and authentically, and to provide them with the necessary tools to navigate the challenges of daily life, with a positive and respectful view of their neurodivergence.
